Do not allow your circumstances to cause you to doubt God.

In Matthew 14:25
Jesus believed that peter could walk on water ,because He commanded Him to come. Jesus already knew the outcome of Peter taking the bold step to walk on water. And He asked Jesus to give Him the ability to do it, but in the midst of walking Peter allowed fear to sink Him back to the ground

(Matthew 14:25
And in the fourth watch of the night[c]he came to them, walking on the sea. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
28 And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.”29 He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind,[d] he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” )

God has already commanded us , spoken into us and believed in us, but is our faith in Him bigger than the fear of failing? Because when God commands us to do something, to step out , to start that idea He has given us ,there will be winds and storms which will come and face us. Face us to test us, to know whether we are grounded enough in our faith, whether we will still continue to walk and do what He has called us to do no matter the opposition. There is no way we wont be aware that theres an opposition , but where will our focus be ? Will we still believe that God believed in us ? and knows that we are capable and thats why He commanded us? Or will we allow the temporary storm to stop us from accomplishing His eternal purpose . See the storm is only for a moment, a moment to test whether you will give up, a moment of storm seeking to replace the long term glory and fulfillment God has planned for us . How many times have we allowed fear to stop us? To cripple us when God had already spoken. When God had already placed in you everything you need to overcome the storm. What would happen if you did it afraid? What God had asked us to do, little by little that fear would be overtaken by faith. We don't understand where this storm has come from but we won't let it stop us from doing what God has asked us to do.

See the storm only began when peter left His comfort zone ( the boat ). The boat was only to keep peter limited. It was comfortable but it meant He remained in there and did not know His potential. What was His potential ? That the Lord will do in Him beyond what He (Peter) could even ask or imagine. God saw His potential , but did He see it? Fear stops us from walking in our full potential. Fear springs up all the questions to lead you in doubting what God Himself has already placed inside of you. Can I really do this? What if this happens? What if i don't have enough? What if they think this? . But faith fuels you to walking in your full potential even when fear stares at you in the face. Can I do this ; Yes ;I can do all things through christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13 ) …..What if this happens? ; Nothing is going to stop me from doing what God has asked me to do; Not by might, nor by power but by My spirit, says the LORD Almighty. (Zechariah 4:6)….What if i dont have enough ;God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory in christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

What would happen if we replied back to fear in the face with faith. Faith in who God says we are and what we have?

When you are in your comfort zone theres no opposition, because you haven't yet discovered the potential God has placed within you. But when you step out of your comfort zone , refusing to stay the same, you are getting ready to uncover the potential God has placed inside of you. God has already commanded you, And when God commands Is beyond a word, God speaks out of completion. He has already seen you fulfill it and walking in it thats why He spoke the word. Now its up to you and I to hold on to the word, the idea, the vision, the dream and step out regardless of what we will face. We may not have seen the storm coming, but God did and still commanded you, because He already saw you fulfilling it.

The wind ceased when peter got back into the boat. The storm will stop, when fear looks at you in the face and you don't respond to it. When your eyes are focused on the author and finisher of your faith ; Jesus.

No man can take from you what God wants to reward you with. No man can steal your destiny. As long as you walk in and do the will of God, whatever He has purposed for you will be established. You don’t have to compare yourself to anyone. You dont have to think in your heart that someone will occupy the seat or come and replace you. When God opens a door for you no man can close it, It is final. The only way the door can close is if we choose to walk in disobedience. Be focused on who blessed you , than who is envious of your blessing. Be focused on who made the way for you more than who can come and block your way. When God starts something He completes it, He doesn’t leave it halfway,
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (Philippians 1:6 )

The only way it can be incomplete is if you give up on Him. Because He does not give up on you.We should always check our intentions before you do something. What is the reason behind why am doing this. Will this glorify God or glorify my flesh? Will this please God?

In the book of 1 kings chapter 11,

God had already told Jeroboam that He will make him King over most part of Israel. He had already confirmed to Him that He will give him 10 tribes. And give one tribe to Rehoboam son of solomon.
1 kings 11:35-37
35 But I will take the kingdom out of his son’s hand, and will give it unto thee, even ten tribes.36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.37 And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel.

But the main reason God took the kingdom out of Rehoboam’s hands in the first place to give to Jereboam, was due to Rehoboam’s father solomon’s disobedience.

So God warned Jereboam not to take the same footsteps. But had already spoken that He will give Him most of Israel
1 kings 38-39
If you do whatever I command you and walk in obedience to me and do what is right in my eyes by obeying my decrees and commands, as David my servant did, I will be with you. I will build you a dynasty as enduring as the one I built for David and will give Israel to you. 39 I will humble David’s descendants because of this, but not forever.’”

But what turned Jereboam’s heart? Jereboam’s heart was turned as a result of fear. He feared that He would loose what God had already destined to be His. He did not trust in the fact that God will not allow anyone to take out of His hands what is rightfully His. He was afraid that Rehoboam would win back the kingdom from him . He did not trust God will keep His promise. He did not wait on God for God’s plans and promises to be established.
We have to learn to trust and wait on God’s promises. Even if we feel there are others who are after what God has already promised is ours,God has already spoken and said what He will do for you. So theres no need to be afraid or intimidated that someone else will take your place. We should have more reverence for God who blessed us with it than the person or people who want it out of our hands. God gave it to you or promised it to you in the first place, so it is God who will secure it for you. And it is only God who can take it out of your hand. But “God who promised is faithful ” and He will not allow that to happen.

As Psalm 24:1 says The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein .There is nothing He can’t do and that includes establishing the things He has promised you.

No matter how long it takes, no matter the opposition before you, no matter what it looks like He will make all things beautiful in His time, if you trust Him and hold on.

Don’t allow anyone to take your eyes of what God has promised you or where God is taking you. Your time and your season will come.
Habakkuk 2:3 This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Because God has a unique purpose for your life. Whatever God has spoken will be accomplished as long as we remain in Him . We will be fruitful if we abide in Him.
( John 15:4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.)

Everybody’s fruit will come out at different times. So don’t compare your season  to somebody else’s season. Wait on God.

YOU have been given POWER

You have been given power.
Matthew 10:1
And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of diseases.

Because we are children and disciples of Jesus, we have been given power and authority. We are no longer the victims, but rather we are the victors. We are no longer the oppressed because we have power over the oppressor. We are no longer prisoners to sin but rather we are set free. For whom the son sets free is free indeed ( John 8:36).

The power to overcome, the power to stand in the midst of difficulties has been given to you because you are His disciple.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

In order to know the authority we have, we must know the authority we sit under. And we sit under the authority of Jesus, the king of Kings and the Lord of Lords. The Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. The authority we have as disciples and children of God surpasses every other authority. We must stand firm in our authority. We must reach deep within our souls and understand that we have the power to resist temptation through Christ who strengthens us. We must reach deep within our hearts and know that we have the power to overcome trials and tribulations through Christ who strengthens us.
Because His Power is made perfect in our weakness ( 2 corinthians 12:9) , we must understand that even what looks difficult in our eyes is small in His eyes. So we must now see from His perspective, as we are His disciples.

Jesus has given us power over every other spirit. You didn’t give yourself the power, He did. He gave the power to the disciples after He called them. Me and you have been called out of darkness into His marvellous light, therefore we have been given the power. We have been given power over unclean spirits, To cast them out, to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of diseases.

Jesus gave the disciples power as a result of them choosing to follow Him. Since you and I have chosen to follow Jesus, we have been given power over every force or opposition we face. Therefore we must not doubt whether we can do what He has called us to do. Because Its the power of God that will enable us to do what He has called us to do. We mustn’t doubt whether we can overcome a problem because Its His power that will lead us to victory. If it was our very own strength then we can question. But we can do all things through who? Through christ who strengthens us. Our eyes must be fixed on Him, our hearts and our hope should be in Him. Not on ourselves or what we don’t have.

He has given you power to overcome. The storm may be brutal but you will make it through to the other side, because of the power He has placed in you. The power in you is much much greater than the look of that storm. Because you are in partnership with Christ, you have hope and you have power. Amen

Colossians 1:27
For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.Amen
Because He who promised is faithful.

God places you in circumstances to strengthen your faith.
In the book of 1 kings 17, God told Elijah to go to a widow in the Land of Zarephath, and God commanded that the woman would provide for Elijah.

But when Elijah got there and asked the widow, the widow did not have enough, she only had a little bit of oil and dough left to feed herself and her son for a day and die afterwards. ( 1 kings 17:12)

But God sent Elijah there. God sent Elijah somewhere which didn’t seem to line up with what He had promised.
Yes Elijah got to the widow, but the widow didn’t have the provision.
Because It was God who was going to provide. Not the widow. When God sends us to go somewhere or go and do something, or go to someone to get something, the provision is not in the place, or person, or anything, the provision is in God.

If Elijah got to the widow and the widow was rich and could feed Elijah, then that would not even build Elijah’s faith.God wanted Elijah to see right before His own eyes, that I will provide for you, not man, its through me that you will get what I have promised you not man.

Sometimes God puts us in situations to stir our faith. He won’t put you in a place where there is abundance. He puts you in a situation where there is lack , so you can exercise the faith He has given you to bring abundance where you are.

How would our faith grow if we knew how everything was going to happen. Elijah could have sat down and said” but God you said the woman will provide, but she doesn’t have enough”. But Elijah had faith in God and the words God spoke to Him , so He spoke according to His faith. He didnt need to go back to God and ask again, because God had already said it.

Hebrews 11:1 faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Elijah’s faith was strengthened because He spoke the very word that God had given Him concerning His provision and there was provision.

Isaiah 55:11
so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Sometimes we may find ourselves in places God told us to go, people God told us will help us. But we have to realise that the provision is not in the place or the person, our provision is in God. The place is where God has chosen to manifest His provision, the people are vessels God has chosen to use. But God Himself is the one who will make it happen.

Speak the word that God has given you concerning your situation. It may not look like what God has promised right now, but as you speak with faith and move with faith It will happen. Have faith!! Din’t give up !!!

Numbers 23:19
19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

You are chosen, set apart to bring glory to God’s name.
God has chosen you. You to come on this earth. You to be His vessel. You to manifest His glory. Out of the many sperms that could have germinated your mothers egg, you were chosen. You were chosen for such a time as this. You are chosen for a purpose. You are not useless or good for nothing. You are not worthless. You have worth, you have purpose. And not just that you are selected that way, but God has chosen you. He brought you here because His love had to manifest. You are a manifestation of God’s love. Theres something so great within you that He couldn’t keep you alone. He has plans that He wants to manifest through you. Just as they say , if you love someone, you will let them go. God couldn’t keep you, He had to release you for others to see His glory, for others to see the amazing works of His hands. Everything He created has purpose, but more importantly, you are the purpose behind His creation. His love is soo deep that He had to manifest you.

God created Esther for a specific time for a specific purpose. God has placed you here for a specific time, for a specific purpose. He could have brought you forth in 1880, but He brought you forth, in this time, for this generation, in this century.
Romans 8:19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
You are a child of God, you are the daughter of a king, you are a son of the most high. You are not a mistake. Even if the very people who carried you say you are a mistake. Even if the circumstances around you doesn’t make sense. You are loved and cherished and chosen by God for such a time as this. Even if those who are supposed to cater for you abandon you, you have purpose. Purpose is not based on the creation, but its based on the mind behind the creator. And God’s thoughts towards you are loving , are good and not of evil. All manner of things may be happening around us in this world. But they do not manifest the thoughts of God for you and for this world. God’s thoughts are to bring you to an expected end.

Only God can raise an orphan like Esther, and set her high to be a princess. You are God’s princess, your heavenly father cares about every detail of your being. The fact that Esther did not have a mother didn’t stop her from leading other women. Sometimes God will use us in the areas in which we lack, the areas in which we struggle in, God will help you overcome so others can know of His love and glory.

Esther’s story tells us , it doesn’t matter how you begin, God can raise you up and use you beyond your mind could comprehend.

God wants to write your story, your story may have began in abuse, in insecurity, in brokeness, in lonliness, from being abandoned. But God wants to write your story of a fulfilled life,
Just like Esther the beginning of your story does not predict your ending. Your end will be good, your end will be a complete contrast from your beginning.

Esther’s background did not stop her from becoming a queen. Your bad experiences in life, whether you were rejected or neglected does not determine who you are. You are God’s child.

In life we have to learn to close chapters from the past that weigh us down. That make us think whether we are suitable to reach and achieve greatness. We didn’t see anywhere in the book of Esther, where she wondered if she could make it because of her lineage, or her past. To be honest Esther kept quiet about that fact that she was a jew. Thats because Its who God said ” she is that will determine where she was going, not what society thought.

When we come to Christ we are a new creation. We must not allow the lies from the past, the incidents to determine who we are. Jesus has put to death the old you.

Not on God’s watch

Sometimes there may have been decisions taken without you even knowing about what was happening. Its not because you chose not to be there, its because you were not even aware that such a thing was happening. Its not because God didnt want you to know. Its because God wants you to learn to trust Him, even when something looks final in the eyes of man. God wants you to know that, even if you were not aware that such a thing was happening He does. He is aware, He is all knowing. God did not tell you such and such was plotting, and such and such is going to happen. Because He wants you to be aware He is working behind the scenes. The things you are unaware of , or you don’t understand is all going to work out for your good.

Sometimes you only find out about the outcome of situations and you may be surprised by what has happened. But hold on, trust God, He will make all things work together for your good. You may not understand now, but He does.

In the book of Esther 3, Haman had already been to see the king and finalised a decision to kill the jews. Mordecai was not even aware that the decision had been finalised. He was not there when Haman, went to the King to organise for the jews to be killed. Mordecai was not there , But God was. The king decision had been confirmed, sealed, but Mordecai did not know. Even Esther who was in the Kings palace was not aware that such a decision had been finalised and a plot organised, but God was aware.
God will not allow decisions about you to be taken out of your hands. They think they have made decisions without you in it, but God’s hands is already in it, And so you don’t have to be there , the decisions will work in your favour… Rest .. God has got your back covered

The fact that the decisions were made right under esther’s nose, didnt mean that God could not turn it around. Some decisions are made, even without your consultation, but God will have the final say. Whether you were aware or unaware, God will have the final say. So rest in Him.
They plotted without you knowing, but Their plots are not unknown to God. You didnt know a storm was coming, but God allowed the storm to come , so you can be aware of the greatness He has placed in you to overcome that storm. ; an overcoming spirit ; You are more than a conqueror
The steps of the righteous are ordered. You don’t have to know what has been layed down to divert your steps. Because God has His eyes on you. Whether you know what ‘s coming or not, He will direct your steps.

God allowed the decision to finalise, so you can understand when He says there is nothing too hard for Him. It doesn’t matter how far from coming back to life that decision looks. It doesn’t matter how long the situation has remained dormant.it doesnt matter what shock and effects the decision has created, God is able to turn it around. He can do exceedingly abundantly , above all that we could ever ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (Ephesians3:20)

It is better to step out and fail , than to sit back and do nothing at all.

Sometimes you don’t know the outcome of some decisions you are about to take. The decision might mean, you can loose it all or you can gain. The decision might mean you take action now and have faith that God will come through or sit there in the problem.

The thing about life is problems don’t dissolve away. We must make the step of praying to God about the problem and seeking God’s face for a solution. God requires us to step outside of our comfort zone, because we can’t get comfortable in our problems. We must move before the problems move us. We cannot sit down and cover up issues, when God asks us to cast all our burdens unto Him for He cares for us.( 1 peter 5:7) We must keep praying until something happens.

In the Book of Esther chapter 4.
Queen Esther came to a place where she could have sat down and watched her people perish, or get out of her comfort zone and seek God’s hand to save the life’s of her people.
There are certain times in life where it looks like making a decision puts you at risk, certain people may walk away, and you may loose what was keeping you comfortable. But those decisions when taken with faith will not only bring you out of your comfort zone, but can bring out the potential you never saw in yourself.

Queen Esther could have sat in the palace, and thought “well my name hasn’t been mentioned as part of those Haman was going to kill, so am safe.”
Even though Esther knew she was at risk of being put to death if she visited the king, she boldly stepped out.

God’s decisions overpower the laws set by man. God’s decisions does not wait on man’s laws to be made. His ways are truly not our ways, neither are His thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.)
God had already created the whole universe and it runs as God has already spoken in the beginning. Therefore nothing can go beyond what God himself has already commanded. Jesus is the beginning and the end, the author and creator of the universe.

The way He commanded the sun and moon to appear it does. The way He commanded the sea to stop at the borders it does. The way He commanded man to increase and multiply its happening. Therefore can He not command a situation any situation in your life? Is there anything too hard for God?

But before God made a way even with laws restricting Esther to go to the king, Esther fasted. Esther knew that it was not going to happen until she surrender the situation to God. Esther had to deny what made her comfortable. She had to deny herself

There’s a saying which goes ” if you want something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done”.

That something you have to do, will be something you’ve not done. Because you are expecting to see a change.

Heed the warnings God gives you

Heed the warnings God gives you.

image

We don’t have to wait for everything to get worse before we seek God’s face. Sometimes God is speaking to us very quietly through circumstances. God is speaking to us through people, God is telling us to get out of certain relationships. Get out and stop going to certain places that we keep going. God is telling us to stop connecting our selves with certain things that we are doing or stop repeating certain behaviours. And God keeps warming and warning and warning us, but we keep going that way. And we go that way and we stop and realise, and God forgives us. And after God forgives us we go back to the old ways that we used to walk in .

And Nebucchadnezer was deffinitely someone that I believe the Lord spoke through circumstances to wake Him up and direct Him into His will. But He kept walking out of God’s will by serving other idols and walking in pride. And with Nebuchadnezer , even though God gave Daniel wisdom and revelation not only to reveal His dream but also interpret it, He was amazed for a time, and glorified God , but went back to His old ways again of pride and Idolatory. And again God used Shadrach Meshach and abed-Nego to show Nebuchadnezer that He is the only true and living God,and that was still not enough for Him To change. He glorified God for a moment , but still went back in His old ways.

God can keep warning us through circumstances, and will draw us to Him through His mighty power, by allowing us to witness the amazing miracles He can do. But when we don’t listen and keep walking down the old road. The warning stops happening around us and we become the victims or slaves of our own sin. In the sense that the sins will bruise us and break us, and that sin can even become an attitude, but God doesn’t want it to get to that extent.
2 peter 3:27 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness,

Galatians 6:7Don’t be misled– you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.

In Daniel 5, Ndbuchadnezzer started to reap the products of His sin. God’s warning through dreams and miracles was not enough to change Him. So now He had experience the change before He surrendered. God gave Him time to change.

We should not allow our eyes to be fooled, when we see people living out of God’s will and things look as if they are going on well. God has a set time for everything and He gives them time to change.

Nebucchadnezer went from Living on the throne to been driven out from his throne to eating grass like an animal, a His body started to transform into the features of a bird.

Daniel 5:33
That very hour the word was fulfilled concerning Nebuchadnezzar; he was driven from men and ate grass like oxen; his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair had grown like Eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws.

But God been so merciful, when Nebuchadnezzar repented and praised God and acknowledged that God is the Most High and only God and humbled himself, God restored everything back to Him.

We don’t have to get to the level where God has stripped everything of us, before we learn to recognize Him. The little warnings God gives you now , heed them. The convictions you get when you go to that place, or involve yourself in that relationship, don’t ignore them. Wake up now. We don’t have to wait for things to get worse or broken or destroyed before we wake up.

God restored everything Nebuchadnezzer lost, but which meant He had to loose it all, and almost go crazy. And that’s good because God restored Him. But we don’t have to go through a process of even loosing it, if we heed the warnings and obey Him first. If we just listen to Him and do as He tells us. We don’t have to go through a process of loosing everything first. We need to learn to be humble and listen. We don’t have to get to that stage where God has stripped everything of us, don’t have to get to that stage of being on the sick bed, been involved in accident or gunshot, or a even to the extent of death before we wake up. We don’t have to wait for a hurricane to come, when God has already showed us a storm. We give dominion over to sin when we disobey God. Because sin will wreck us.

God recognises all you do

Be faithful to God, He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Those who do His will regardless of whether man recognises or not. God can see everything that you are doing and doing well with your heart. He can see your hunger to do His will. Even if man can’t see or man sees and doesn’t recognise. God sees and recognises.
2 samuel 5: 2 In the past when Saul was our king, you were the one who really led the forces of Israel. And the Lord told you , “You will be the shepherd of my people Israel. You will be Israel’s leader.
God had seen David as king long before the Israelites saw Him. The Israelites also saw David fight their battles but they did not give him full recognition until that day. The fact that they didn’t recognise Him then didn’t mean that God hasn’t recognised Him. There will be a season where the fruits of your obedience will manifest. However long it takes be patient.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. ( Galatians 6:9)

David did not recognise Himself as King until They built Him a palace. He had already reigned for 40 years. And He didn’t realize that the Lord had confirmed Him king over Israel.

(2 samuel 5:11 ,Then King Hiram of Tyre sent messengers to David, along with cedar timber and carpenters and stonemasons, and they built David a palace. 12 And David realized that the Lord had confirmed him as king over Israel and had blessed his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel.)

Don’t settle until your purpose has been established. Don’t think this is it. God has brought me here and that’s it. You havn’t received the fullness of your blessing and you are thinking you are settled. Everything that God has said concerning your life and purpose must be established before you start settling. Whatever test and whatever season you have to get through, endure and obey and get through. Don’t settle. Even if what the Lord has said about your life hasn’t yet been fulfilled it doesn’t mean it won’t happen. It doesn’t matter if you’ve missed that opportunity, get up seek God’s face and let Him direct you.
After fighting all this battles, after His people had called Him king, after God anointed Him, David still didn’t realise until He sat in a palace. Don’t get comfortable, Don’t settle until you start fulfilling and walking in your purpose. Yes God has said concerning your life, and people have also recognised you. It doesn’t mean you are not believing what God has said about you.

But you will keep going until everything manifests. Therefore don’t give up, don’t let trials and test and people make you think that’s it. There is more, there is greater to come. God’s promises does not return to Him void, However long it takes don’t settle until it manifests.

David remembered the Lord even after He had given Him rest from His enemies. When things were going well David thought of God.
David did not only call upon God when He needed to fight battles, but He remembered Him when there was no battles to fight. He remembered God at a time where God had given Him rest.

What do you do after God has blessed you with the job you prayed for. And now you don’t have to be worried about bills? What do you do after God has blessed you with the house, the car, when God has healed you and delivered you?
Do you remember God when everything is going well? Do you remain thankful and obedient after your blessings are released?

The bible says that
2 Samuel 7:1-2 When King David was settled in his palace and the Lord had given him rest from all the surrounding enemies, 2 the king summoned Nathan the prophet. “Look,” David said, “I am living in a beautiful cedar palace,[a] but the Ark of God is out there in a tent!”

David thought of God when God had given Him rest. We should not only be thinking about God when life gets tough. We should think of God when life is going well for us. We should still think of God after He has blessed us with what we are praying for.

David asked to build God a house for the ark of God to live in. It’s the thought that counts. What can you do to say thank you to God for the new car He has blessed you with? Have you thought of what you can do in return? You can’t thank God enough for what He has done. But thinking of Him even when life is good means you are not after God’s hands but you are after God’s heart. David was after God’s heart.
Now look at what happened next, when David thought of God when things were going on well for Him, God also thought of Him. This time David did not even ask God to bless Him, but God blessed David without Him even asking.

When we think of pleasing God, when we do His work, when we think of doing what will please Him rather than what will please us, why won’t God bless us?

God didn’t even want David to build Him a House. But Instead God released a new blessing over His house and His generation. God revealed His thoughts to David as David thought of God. The only way to know what someone is thinking about you is if you thought about them and ask after them. Then you will be able to know what they are thinking of you.
This is what God said to replied back to King David

2 Samuel 7:8-16 Now go and say to my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel. 9 I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before your eyes. Now I will make your name as famous as anyone who has ever lived on the earth! 10 And I will provide a homeland for my people Israel, planting them in a secure place where they will never be disturbed. Evil nations won’t oppress them as they’ve done in the past,11 starting from the time I appointed judges to rule my people Israel. And I will give you rest from all your enemies.

“‘Furthermore, the Lord declares that he will make a house for you—a dynasty of kings! 12 For when you die and are buried with your ancestors, I will raise up one of your descendants, your own offspring, and I will make his kingdom strong. 13 He is the one who will build a house—a temple—for my name. And I will secure his royal throne forever. 14 I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do.15 But my favor will not be taken from him as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from your sight. 16 Your house and your kingdom will continue before me[b] for all time, and your throne will be secure forever.’”
