God’s Grace outweighs Failure

Moses was afraid when He heared Pharoah was looking for Him as a result of murdering an egyptian.
He wanted to save His people ( the israelites) from the abuse they were getting from the Egyptians. But he failed to rescue them in His own strength.
When God told Moses to go and speak to pharaoh to release the Israelites, Moses did not succeed straightaway. It wasn’t a one time discussion and a done deal. But Moses listened to God and was persistent in speaking to Pharaoh. God sent Moses so we would be thinking ” It shouldn’t be that difficult to convince pharaoh”. But everything happened for God’s glory to be manifested.
God still chose Moses not depending on His failure or sin. Anyone could have said why would God use Moses? God’s grace is abundant, its not depending on your past mistakes or your present state. He sees the future in you that cannot see.

You may have failed in your exams. You may have been kicked out of college or university. You may have had a child before marriage. You may have come from an abusive home. You may have been disrespectful. You may have done an abortion. You may have fornicated. You may have been rejected. You may have gone into prostitution or committed adultery.
But I want you to know that God’s grace is abundant. Regardless of how much you hate yourself for what you’ve done, or how deep into sin you think you have gone.
God loves you. His grace is sufficient. Every weak area in your life, every failure in your life, every shame in your life God is able to strengthen you to overcome it.
2 corinthians 12:19
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

When you’ve failed doesn’t mean you give up. It doesn’t mean you will never be successful again. It doesn’t mean your world has ended. It doesn’t mean you are not good enough. It doesn’t mean everyone is better than you.It doesn’t mean you are good for nothing.

When you failed means there’s something else you need to learn. It means try again. It means am going to try harder next time. Moses was persistent in speaking to Pharaoh. It may mean there’s something more i need to learn. It doesn’t mean giveup.
But what it means is go back to God. It means surrender all to Him. Jesus died for you so every burden you ever felt he can carry, every brokenness He can heal. Jesus didn’t come and save those that are perfect, He came for the lost, the broken, the sinner. Its His strength that is made perfect in our weakness. Not your strength.
You shall overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of your testimony (revelation 12:11). Its the blood of Jesus that will strengthen you to overcome. Its the blood of Jesus that will heal and deliver you to come out of whatever that’s held you down. What you thought you failed in, what you thought was an addiction, Jesus is able to break that cycle in your life.
But seek Him wholeheartedly, let God know you cant do without Him.

Jeremiah 29:13
If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

God’s Love for you and me is so deep that no matter how many times or how much you’ve failed He’s able to pick you up. The blood of Jesus is able to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. God can still use you, when you surrender and make Jesus Lord over your life. When you seek Him and not let your failures or past mistakes hold you down.
Been a christian doesn’t mean I haven’t failed before. There are many occasions where i failed my exams and had to do it all over again. There are occasions in the past where I slacked and have been disobedient to God’s word. There have been occasions where I have began something and not completed it. But one thing I realized is speaking to God daily and seeking after Him has not only given me the strength but also have the desire to please Him. God’s word has enlightened me and redirected me away from the broad road I used to walk on. Am not perfect but I Surrender and admit to God when He convicts me of where I’ve gone wrong. Certain things I used to do, certain places I used to go and even people I used to hang about with my heart does not desire anymore, because God’s presence and the love of God fills my heart with peace that my past could not give me. I can honestly say there’s been a good change within me and desire to please Him as a result of letting God lead me.
It doesn’t matter where you are at right now, Jesus can turn every failure. There is Hope in Jesus

Proverbs 24:16-18
16 For a righteous man may fall seven times
And rise again

Whatever you may have failed in or fallen short of ,just know that God still loves you and will help you overcome it when you surrender and look to Him for strength. #faith #bible #Jesus #Grace #Love #peace

Fearing God and obeying Him

Fearing God and obeying Him.
In the book of exodus chapter 1, the new king of egypt realised that the Israelites were multiplying and were more mightier than those of Egypt, He told the midwives to kill every first born son from the israelites.
But the midwives did not do as the king said because they feared God. They had the fear of God in them. The fear of God in them was greater than the fear of human.
Yes the king ruled over Egypt. But God rules over the world. And everything in existence is a result of God’s marvelous and mighty handy work.
In society nowadays people are afraid of loosing friends if they choose to obey God. People are afraid of been rejected if they choose worshiping God over listening to music which does not glorify God. People are afraid of loosing the physical things if they choose to walk with God and talk about God.
But God wants us to know that Matthew 10:33
But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

How do we choose mere man over omnipotent God? When our very breath is controlled by God. When He loves us soo much He created us in His image? When He gave His only son Jesus to die for our sins?

God is all powerful and will protect you. God is omnipresent and will never leave you. God is our provider and you shall never lack.
God does not just want the best for us. But He will also reward us for our obedience and commitment to Him.
Yes sometimes it may seem like straight after you made a choice to walk with God, certain friends leave, you feel rejected and alone. But you are never alone. You are been built to depend on God. And you will be filled with peace which will not depend on how many friends you have or when someone walks out of your life. You will be directed atand can exercise your God given authority.

God loves us soo much. Before creating Adam,He made sure there was food, there was water, there was light, there was sun.He got everything ready so Adam would not have to wonder how to get things. Same with us, before He created us He already has a well laid plan out for us. That’s why He wants us to walk with Him and obey Him, so we are not destroyed, so we are not broken,so we are not lost, so we spend eternity with Him.
So God dealt well with the midwives when they obeyed God over the king of Egypt. The bible says In Exodus 1:21 and it was because, the midwives feared God,that He provided Households for them.
God will deal well with us when we obey Him. When we fear Him more than man. When we come to understand that because He has all power in His hand and has the best install for us. When we come to understand that the intention behind why We should obey Him is because He loves us and has great plans for us. He will not let us be put to shame.
They say nothing good comes easy in life. But God has already done the difficult part we could not do. All our sins Jesus carried to the cross and died for us, so we don’t carry that burden and suffer in Hell. And we have the holy spirit living in us to lead and guide us into all truth. We’ve been given authority in Jesus name to trample over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by no means harm us.
Its always easy to walk on a broad road, where you can switch from one lane to the other. Where you get lost with the crowd. Where you follow a multitude of people and are lead by their own ways.

But the narrow path is concentrated. You cant switch from one lane to the other because of its narrowness . It seems to be a walk on your own. Because you are not following a crowd ,you are following only Jesus. Because you are working out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Matthew 7:13
“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.

Obedience to God does not just reward us here on earth as the midwives were rewarded, but there is also a reward in heaven and spending eternity with our Father in heaven. Why should we suffer here on earth and continue to suffer after we die. When we have the choice to walk and be led by God here on earth and spend eternity with Him.

Glory be to God

The women who’s wombs were closed were the women who later carried and birthed the children who would pass on God’s mighty promise.
From Sarah to Rebekah to Rachel , all their wombs were closed before they were able to conceive, great men of God.
The fact that the door to God’s plans and purpose seems unopened yet doesn’t mean you should give up. The enemy will try and frustrate you through a situation that doesn’t seem to turned around , so you can give up. He will even use people to tell you its not going to work so give up. But the reason it looks so tough is because there’s something great coming out of it. So don’t give up now, hold on. Put your focus on God, pray and seek His face. Take your mind of the problem and put your mind on God. There’s something great coming out of it that’s why the road is so narrow.
So whatever it is that you are facing HOLD ON. He can do exceedingly abundantly more than you can ask or think. Ephesians 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or imagine.

When you focus so much on how things look now, you loose sight of what’s coming ahead. Expect a great future, even if things don’t seem bright now. Expect a good job even if you havn’t recieved the letter saying yes. Expect that God will bring the right person into your life.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I am conscious of my thoughts about you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope at the end.

God himself has confirmed that He will give you hope in the end. That no matter what is happening the end will be good. So why expect any other end? That no matter when its going to happen or how its going to happen you will smile at the end. Its not the fastest runner at the beginning of the race which matters, its who is the first to cross the finish line. And God is saying “I know your finish line”. I know your future, I will cross the finish line with you, and you will finish well”. So if you just hold on you will see yourself cross the finish line and rejoice.
And when you feel like giving up, or feel down , do the opposite of how you feel. Worship and praise God for what He is about to do. This life may seem like one battle after another, but Jesus said John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” When you haven’t heard a response yet doesn’t mean give up. When you knock a door and its not opened doesn’t mean give up. When you haven’t seen a turn around yet doesn’t mean give up. A door can be opened at anytime, but God chooses the right season to open that door.
Sometimes before something great is about to be birthed, there seems to be pain and discomfort and problems from nowhere. But that’s to distract you of the road you walking with God. That’s to distract you of the great thing that’s about to be birthed. The joy of what you will reap will be so much greater than the pain you’ve been through, if you will just hold on.
Take one day at a time and be assured that everything will work out for your good.

God will give you an Expected end

In Genesis 45
Joseph makes it known to His brothers who He was, and does not blame them for selling him or trying to kill him.
After all that happened to him, everything started to make sense.
He understood the reason he had to to be a slave, a servant and a prisoner. And this was the reasont “God sent him before His family to preserve life”
Joseph did not know from the beginning the reason why he was sold as a slave. He did not understand why he had to be away from his family. He did not understand why oneday he was in his fathers house and the next day a servant in an unknown land.
At the beginning it seemed very obvious that his brothers were the reason to blame for all he went through.
But at the end everything made sense and this is the reason why he went through all he went through
Genesis 45:7
And God sent me before you to preserve a prosperity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance

Sometimes certain situations you may find yourself in just don’t make sense at the beginning. You may be thinking but “I did not do anything to go through this struggle”. I prayed, I worshipped, I cried out but things just don’t add up.
But everything will make sense in the end. Every trial and every struggle will make sense in the end. You may not understand why you are going through that situation, but trust that God knows and has a much better plan ahead. That what you are going through will not be a waste of time. That God has a plan for your life. Don’t let people’s opinion make you give up. Your future is not based on people’s opinion over your life. Your future is based on almighty God’s opinion who is omniscient. Yes people will tell you someone went through exactly what you went through and didn’t make it, so you should give up. But don’t give up, God still has a plan. Nothing is impossible for God. Keep your eyes on God not on people.
Just like Joseph, you may not understand why life has been like that for you, you may not understand why it seems to be working all out for people around you but you, you may not understand why there hasn’t been answers to questions.
But it will all make sense in the end.

God has it all planned out. But you have to trust Him. Trust that because He knows the end from the beginning He’s got you.
Even though His brothers were envious of Joseph because of how his dreams looked. It wasn’t all about Joseph in the end, it wasn’t to make Joseph greater than all the people on the earth.God’s plan was to use Joseph to save the lifes of people. To preserve the prosperity on the earth. It all made sense to Joseph that there was nobody to blame. Not his brothers, not the things he went through, not God.
That everything He went through was for a reason. If you just hold on when life gets tough. If you just hold on to God, commit your ways to him. Without trying to figure everything out yourself but laying everything out at His feet , He will figure everything out for you. Hold on knowing that no matter what God’s got a plan. You will live to see the reason why you went through what you went through.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Waiting on the Dream and been patient in tough times

Waiting on the dream and been patient in tough times

The dreams God revealed to joseph happened exactly as he dreamt. This is the dream Joseph had and told his brothers before they sold him into slavery.
Genesis 37:9 Then He dreamed still another dream and told it to His brothers, and said, “Look I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.
And this is the dream coming to pass.
Genesis 42:6
Now Joseph was governor over the land; and it was he who sold to all the people of the land. And Joseph’s brothers came and bowed before Him with their faces to the earth.
The dream did not come from Joseph., the dream came from God. Who is the author and creator of the universe, so why would it not come to pass?
The only way the dream will not happen is if we don’t accept and believe the dream. If God has revealed a dream to you , nobody can stop that dream, the only person that can stop the dream is you.
If we continue to walk with God and in obedience with Him.
Joseph was able to stand the trials and temptations and test before seeing His dream come true.
1. He did not give in to portiphars wife, He feared God.
2. He was able to stand during the tough times in prison. He was able to make the best out of His circumstance in prison. He served in prison. Are we still spending time with God in the tough times? Are we still reading His word? Are we still living in obedience in tough times? Do we stilll believe we have hope in tough times with God? Do we still treat people right?
3 . Joseph was patient in prison. Are we patient with God to open a door himself and not open our own doors? When the kings butler had a dream and Joseph interpreted the dream,Joseph told him to remember him and mention him to pharaoh so He can get him out of prison.

But the butler forgot Joseph. Now look at this… In God’s own time and with God’s mighty hand Joseph came out of prison, and he wasn’t just released. He was released to be king.
Now if Joseph had fought his own way out and the butler had told the king earlier about Joseph when Joseph told him to, He would have been released as the same ordinary man.

Sometimes there is a reason why your breakthrough can take so long. There is a reason why your dreams haven’t come to pass yet. There is a reason your prayers haven’t been answered yet. Be patient. Wait on God. Because God himself will cause mountains to move on your behalf. God doesn’t want you to come out of your breakthrough the same as you are now. He wants you to come out a king, a queen , a publisher, a singer, a mighty man and mighty woman. When we are patient for God to move in His time, our blessing will be bigger. But when we are inpatient and figure things on our own, nothing great comes out of it. So not seeing your dreams coming to pass now and your breakthrough now doesn’t mean God has neglected you or its not going to happen. Something great has to come out of all the crying and the praying and the worshiping and the patience you’ve had. Something great will come out of the obedience and commitment to God. Your time has not been wasted.
He hath made everything beautiful in His time. ( Ecclesiastes 3:11)

God wants to release you greater than what you were prior to your difficulties, so be patient.
Isaiah 40:31 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

God doesn’t just want your circumstance to change, He wants you to be the change. He is building a warrior out of you through the tough times, He is building a king,a soldier through the tough times.
God built Joseph as a governor during the tough times in prison. He learnt to become the future governor in the tough times in prison. Lets continue to commit ourselves and seek God through every tough season so He can build as to be His warriors.

The gift of life.

We only have one life. We don’t live forever. We don’t choose when to come and when to go. Every day is precious. Not everybody woke up today. There are people who planned to do so much today and didn’t wake up today.
Sometimes we allow the treasure of living to be consumed by our circumstances. As though we will be here forever. We focus so much on making it through rather than walking through with God. We worry so much on what tomorrow brings that we forget the one who brings tomorrow. The future is in almighty God’s hand. He makes the new day, He gives the breath of life and He takes it away. We allow our minds to ponder on how things are gonna work, rather than putting our minds on the one who makes all things work. We focus on fears that will never happen rather than focusing on the almighty father who everything is afraid of. Like we wake ourselves up, no we don’t. Life is a gift. A gift is something from the heart. Your Life is a gift from God’s heart, so use it wisely. The giver gives the gift because He knows that you will appreciate the gift. Appreciate yourself you are a gift from God. There is love behind the intention of a gift, God loves you thats why He created you.
A good gift is something good enough for the giver to use. You are good enough for God to use you no matter who you are.

There’s a Great Treasure in You

Even the magicians of egypt and all the wise men could not interpret the dream for pharoah. Only God can. And God put the treasure in Joseph to accomplish that. Nobody has the treasure God has put inside of you and can use it like you. Only you can use the treasure to change the world. So you don’t need to compare yourself to anyone. Seek God and let Him reveal what He has put inside of you.
God has appointed just you for a particular calling. For a particular purpose. Nobody can be you , you are unique and designed specially to suit this purpose. They can go to wise men and scientist and all sorts but no one can do it like you can. But how is anyone going to know if you dont step out?
If you say am shy? Or i havn’t got the resources, or i will wait till next year. Someone somewhere is waiting to hear the words God has put in your mouth to step back from suicide. Someone is waiting to hear your testimony to stop the abortion. Someone is waiting to hear your song so they know all hope is not lost. Someone is waiting to read your book so they can step out of the sick bed. As a result of Joseph stepping out and using the treasure God has placed in him , He saved a whole nation from famine. If Joseph did not use what God had placed in him, a whole nation would have been severely devastated.

In Joseph’s story its very clear that the treasure God has put in you is not just about you. Its about saving a lost nation, its about glorifying God. The treasure is not from you so give glory to who it belongs to ; GOD.
When pharoah asked Joseph to the interpret the dream . Joseph said “It is not in me; God will give pharoah an answer of peace.
Joseph made it very clear that he could not interpret pharoah’s dream without God.
2 corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

God is the one standing behind you and will direct you to release that dream, that idea, not you. So why are you afraid? Its not going to be in your own strength.

But you don’t have to wait to be rich to use that treasure. Or own the biggest house. Your age , level of education, whether you have children or not, should not stop you. Just step out. Joseph was not a king before he interpreted pharaoh’s dream, he was coming from prison. He was a prisoner. God will do the rest if you step out. God’s treasure is not measured by your circumstance. It is measured by the ability of God. And am sure you already know nothing is impossible for God.
Even the surrounding nations came to egypt for food. The treasure God put inside joseph was to deliver not just people from egypt from famine, but even outside of egypt. The treasure God has put inside you may be singing, writing, speaking, directing, drawing, sowing, designing ,dreaming, interpreting dreams, prophesying. Even if the list here does not link to you God still has something very specific for you.
Your treasure will take you to places you havn’t seen. You treasure will be a blessing to you and others. You may not see how now. But joseph didnt see how either. He just stepped out. Joseph’s dream came to pass as a result of using the treasure placed in Him. He became head over pharoah’s house and all the people were ruled according to His word. He became wealthy and successful.

The treasure God has put inside you will lead you to your purpose. May God give us the strength to step out and use His treasure and accomplish His purpose for our life’s.

The circumstances and character preparing you for your purpose

When Joseph was sold as a slave, everyone around him including His family probably thought His dreams had ended. But it was just the beginning of Him, not the ending . The beginning may have started bitter but there was a sweet ending. Joseph’s circumstances prepared and pruned Him for His purpose. Been sold as a slave to live in a land he’s never been before without His family, and having to serve may have seemed to be out of God’s plan. But everything Joseph went through was not a waste of time. Every stage of His life prepared Him for His purpose. One character I noticed Joseph learnt which was beneficial before He walked in His purpose was service.

Even if you haven’t found your purpose yet or you have, and you feel like the place you working is nothing relating to your purpose, Keep seeking God for what He wants you to learn where you are right now. It may be that you will apply something you learnt from where you are right now later in the future when walking in your purpose. But keep seeking God and He will reveal more to you. Joseph Learnt to serve.

The bible says Joseph served His master first. Before putting all that He has under his authority. If Joseph decided there’s no way i will serve This man and didn’t humble Himself where He was, He wouldn’t have been given the authority. Yes God favoured Him but He served first.
God was preparing Joseph for his purpose. Yes when every body looked at Him as a servant, God was preparing Him to serve a country. God knew all the plans he had for him so he put him in places to prepare him for his purpose.Joseph being thrown into prison may have seemed like the worse thing ever. But even in the prison cell, he served, God was preparing Him for His purpose. The head of the prison left everything in his hand to look after.
Before He could lead a nation, Joseph had to serve. He served his father. He served in portiphar’s house before becoming the head of the house. He served in prison before becoming in charge of the prisoners.
What does that tell us. Before becoming a leader you first need to learn to serve. This may seem like you are at the lower rank, and it may seem like you are not important. But God wants you to know you are important to Him and you are being prepared for something greater. God wants us to be humble and be faithful in the little things. Even though where you are is not where you dream or imagine yourself to be, do what you need to do there and be humble. You are not here by accident, you are here for a purpose and everywhere you go is not by accident , you are there to know something.
In prison Joseph served the prisoners. When God says He will work everything out for our good, He will. We don’t have to worry how or when. Portiphar’s wife was the cause of Joseph being in prison, but God used the bad circumstance to lead Joseph into his calling. Because its in prison that he had the opportunity to interpret the dreams of the kings baker and butler. And because he was able to do that when king pharaoh had a dream the butler told the king about Joseph. Is there a door of opportunity in bad circumstances? Are there people God puts in our path in tough times. Yes there is. May God open our eyes to see the door of opportunities in every circumstance.

God won’t let you go alone

God won’t let you go alone.

When God told Moses to go and speak to the israelites,He directed moses on what to do and what to say and assured him that He will be with Him. ( Exodus 3 and 4)
But God is so awesome. God will not send you somewhere or tell you to say or do something and not be with you.

God made it clear through out Genesis from Abraham to Joseph, that He will be with them. Every time He told them to go anywhere. God won’t let you go alone. So don’t be afraid. You won’t be confused on what to say, God will speak through you. Its not you that’s going to change hearts, He will do it. Its not you that’s going to find the place, God has prepared the way ahead. So seek Him every step of the way and rely on Him.

Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

All He requires is you move and He will do The rest. And no matter what you face when you move, seek God’s counsel. We serve an awesome God. Jesus knows the your beginning and the end.He knows everything that’s going to happen after you move, so Trust Him. He has a plan for you , so trust Him.

God gave instructions to Moses, telling him speak to Pharoah to release the Israelites out of Egypt, And this was Moses’ reply:
Exodus 3:11 But Moses said to God “Who am I that I should go to Pharoah, and that i should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

Because He knew that in His own strength its not going to be possible. He knew that He was just a mere man, who had never led people or done miracles, let alone take His people from the hands of the Egyptians to the promise Land.

There was no way He could go if He had to depend on his own strength. In His own strength trying to save an israelite He caused trouble. He even had to leave Egypt as a result of Doing things on His own strength.
But when God stepped in, things were different. When God stepped in the impossible became possible.

So don’t depend on your own strength. Don’t figure things out all by yourself, ask God for strength to stand. Ask God for wisdom and understanding. Don’t depend on yourself.

Zechariah 4:6
Then he said to me, “This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.

When Moses asked God who is He that can bring the children of Israel out of Egypt. God did not only tell Moses He will be with Him, but gave Him a sign ; that He will serve God at the mountain He first spoke to Him.

If God has told you to do something, Be assured that He will be with you through out. It may not be easy stepping out and doing it, and the road may not be smooth, but you have to hold on to God’s word strongly. You have to remind yourself that no-matter what He will carry you through. You have to understand that God is faithful. And His word shall not return to Him void. There’s always a blessing, there will be a testimony if you hold on long enough. Remind yourself of God’s promise, His reward is bigger than anything you could give up and settle for.

You may feel unqualified for what God has said regarding you. But that’s not up to your feelings. Feelings go up and down, feelings are not stable, but the word of God is.You are not the one qualifying yourself or people are not the ones qualifying you. God the creator of the universe qualifies you. Therefore don’t be worried about what man is saying about you. Know that you are not the one qualifying your self, God qualifies you. So theres no need to be afraid or worried.

You have to know who stands by you.
Moses asked God how he should refer to God as when the israelites asked , and God replied;
Exodus 3: 14 And God said to Moses I AM WHO I AM” And He said, thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.”’

God wants us to know Him for ourselves. God is stronger and mightier than anyone and anything. God revealed His power to Moses through His miracles and His mighty name. Moses had experienced what the mighty hand of God can do and He held onto The word God had given Him before God sent Him. Moses knew that God gave him the word and understood that God is all powerful.

Our experiences with God should be a reminder of the fact that God is faithful to His word. Even though the circumstance may have changed. God doesn’t change, His word does not return to Him void.

Its important to remind yourself of the word God has given you regarding your situation or regarding His instruction. And more importantly declare the word and stand strong on it when everything around you looks the opposite. Also knowing who God is through His word makes you understand the power of God and that He can do anything.
Sometimes you may not have all the clues to what you will face on the journey to doing as God has told you to. But let the word and the promises God has given you keep you determined to hold on and wait. Be consistent in seeking His face and depend on Him to reveal the next step.

Moses was also worried that the israelites would not believe or listen to anything He was saying.

Don’t let what people say cause you to disbelieve what God has told you. Take your focus of what people and the surrounding are saying and tune your ears to hear God’s voice above any other voice.
One thing I noticed about Moses is that He was persistent in communicating with God about what He did not know and also His weakness. He asked God what He did not know for knowledge purposes and also told God His weakness. He told God He was slow in speech. And God replied “I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say”.

Its important to tell God the areas we are struggling with. He knows it all already, But He wants you to rely on Him. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Its the areas we are not strong at , that’s where God’s mighty power will cover and remove every weakness. So whatever you think is stopping you from going where God wants you to go,speak to Him about it. If its patience ask Him to give you strength to hold on, if you are confused ask Him to reveal to you. And be patient in hearing Him.

Lastly moses told God He was slow in speech. Someone may think Moses was trying to give as much excuses as possible. But Moses was making things clear to God about His weakness. The things that disqualify Him. But when God has qualified you don’t allow anyone including yourself to disqualify you.

Exodus 4:11-12
11 So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? 12 Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”

The awareness of God’s presence

Genesis 39:2 The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and He was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him and the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. 4 so Joseph found favor in his sight and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. Joseph was in a place unfamiliar to him. Out of the sight of his family. But he wasn’t out of God’s sight. When We thought he was alone that’s when God’s presence was with Him. When you think you are alone or haven’t got the people who should be around you, God wants you to recognize His presence. He wants you to know you are never alone. You are never alone, you are created by God, in God’s world, under God’s watch. He is always with you. What was the result of The Lord being with Joseph? Success .The success did not come before God’s presence. God’s presence came before the success. God made Joseph a successful man. Instead of seeking the success, we should seek God first. Because its His presence with us that will make us successful. God is the beginning and the end. Nothing comes before Him. God’s presence brings favor. But the bible also says Joseph found favor in his master’s sight. How did Joseph find favor in The master’s sight? It began with God’s presence. The master saw that God was with Joseph. The presence of God gives us favor. How do we get God’s presence? by being aware that He is always with us seeking after Him. How can we say we want a friend to go somewhere with us without asking them and knowing anything about them. Will they be called a friend? Even when Joseph got to prison, God’s presence was with him and gave him mercy and favor. Don’t ever think God’s presence is not with you in the prison, or abusive home, or foster home. God is with you and He cares. But you first have to believe He is with you and seek him. Pray, worship and read his word. (Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.) Don’t ever think God has neglected you because of what has happened or where you are. He still loves you.

He can still deliver you, He can still make a way, God’s presence will not only make us successful but give us favor.
God’s presence brings prosperity. Prosperity means happiness, good health and wealth. The Lord made all Joseph did prosper in his hand. It means good things came out of his hand. Things started to flourish when he intervened. Are we seeking after things and people to make us happy instead of God. What is our happiness based on? A new car? A partner? .Nothing and nobody is perfect. People and things can always disappoint us. Yes people and things make us happy but not only temporary. But God will never disappoint us when we hope in Him. True happiness, good health and wealth comes from Almighty God.
God wants us to seek after him first. Priorities Him. Because He is everything. Nothing would exist without Him. Not seeking after the things of the flesh.

The presence of God brings awareness of sin. When Potiphar’s wife wanted to sleep with Joseph,he did not agree to her. Joseph told her his master had given him authority over everything except his wife. But joseph didn’t say because it would displease his master. He said ” How then can i do this great wickedness and sin against God? He did not do it because it would displease God. He was aware of God’s presence and feared God.He knew everything he h had came from God including Himself.
When we realize God is always with us we won’t do things he hates infront of Him.
Because it displeases him. We also need to be grateful and be aware of how much he has done for us and how he got us where we are right now. Joseph realized how far God has brought him from being sold as a slave. So then it is wickedness to do evil to God who has done you good. He wouldn’t have had favor and authority over anything without God. So he remembered his humble beginnings.

The fact that you are in prison, or in an abusive home or in the place you didn’tq think you would ever be, doesn’t mean God is not there. God is right there where you are. He hasn’t forsaken you. But you need to be aware of Him, and spend time with Him and seek Him.
Matthew 6:33
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

So why seek after anything else instead of God. When we seek after God first He will be our anchor through life.
