Now the Lord had said to abraham:

Genesis 12:1-3
Get out of your country. From your family and from your fathers house, To a land that i will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you. And make your name great. And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and i will curse Him who curses you; And in you all families of the earth shall be blessed.
Genesis 12:7
Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “to your descendants I will give you this land.” And there He built an altar to the Lord who had appeared to Him.
And he moved from there to the mountain east of bethel, and he pitched his tent with bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there He built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.
God spoke to Abraham and gave Him a promise. But before the promise must be fulfilled He instructed Abraham. For the promise to be fulfilled we must follow God’s instructions, that is not just obeying Almighty God’s word but also doing as He says.
The bible says Abraham departed. He did not question God. He did not hesitate. We should not even hesitate or question God about His commandments or apply it differently. What God has said in His word is what it is. We should do as we are told. We should not question God when He says stop doing what you are doing and obey my commandments. We should move when He says we should. We shouldnt sit there.

Abraham was obedient to God.
Therefore God continue to speak to Him and lead Him. If we are not living in obedience to God’s word do we expect to hear him? Its like a mother telling a child not to do something and the child dilebrately continues to disobey, the mother will get angry and will stop telling the child. But once the child obeys Him, he will teach Him new things.
God has played His part, surrounded us with the right people, church services, preachings, etc. But we must play our part by tuning into God’s word.We are not perfect thats why He’s done most of the job for us. He wants us to move and do as He tells us.

When Abraham went to canaan, He made an altar to the Lord. Its just so amazing. Wherever God has brought us, we should thank Him. We should seek Him. Even though we haven’t seen the Gold and riches and honey. Abraham didn’t say oh God you told me to come here and now look, there is nothing here. He made an altar; he worshipped God regardless of how canaan looked. We should worship God regardless of the circumstance. He seek God for direction. God gave him the promise so He seek God because the promise will not be fulfilled without God.
Even more amazingly when abraham got to canaan there was famine in the Land.. This is the Land which God has promised, so why would there be famineBut He didnot forget God’s promise. The promises God has made may not look as He said straightaway or right now. But don’t give up it will surely come to pass. Lets be patient and seek God’s face and thank Him. Because God will do as He promised. The situation you are in may not look like the prayers you have prayed but dont give up. Because God will bring you out if you dont give up. He is faithful.
Whatever word God has given us nlets stand on it patiently. Whatever situation you face refer to God’s word and stand on His word regarding the situation. He did not bring us to earth to live in pain He loves us
